Job Description

The role: Do you enjoy talking on the phone and pride yourself on your customer service skills and ability to juggle multiple inbound calls? If the answer is yes, we have a permanent part time role available, working Thu-Sun, 3pm - 8pm within our Front Office team as a Telephonist that could be perfect for you.

When you join our team as our newest Telephonist, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation as a preferred destination for our guests and visitors to the resort as you will be the first point of contact for all phone enquiries.  You may be assiting with guest amenities, booking activities, resort information, restaurant bookings, buggy transfers or providing guest assistance. 

As our Telephonist, you will be the welcoming voice at the end of the phone for all internal and external enquires to the resort. You have the very important responsibility of creating a welcoming impression.

  • The hours: Perm Part time role available 20 hours a week
  • The shifts: You would be working set days Thu-Sun, 3pm - 8pm
  • Rates: Mon-Fri $24.98, Sat $31.23, Sun $37.47

We are looking for someone who is available to work these set days and hours in a perm part time capacity. 

To set you up to succeed: Two weeks of structured training will be provided to you covering the tasks required. You will also be assigned a buddy who will support you as you learn the system and resort features.

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a phone based role as a receptionist, call centre operator or telephonist
  • Systems orientated with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to easily build rapport in a professional and courteous manner
  • Experience working in a 4-5 star resort/hotel front office environment
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to requests promptly, efficiently and courteously
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Opera Cloud
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
  • Full availability to work these set hours and days
  • Remain calm and effective in emergency and high pressure situations
  • Current drivers licence would be highly regarded
  • First Aid Certificate desirable
